• We went over the plans with the property owner. Emily's phone rang just as we wrapped up the walk-through. It was her mom. Maria had called and the official divorce hearing was happening that afternoon. She relayed that Maria had told her that we didn't need to come along. Emily offered anyway. Her mother said she'd love it if one of us could be there.
• We talked it over with Mrs. Dempsey, quickly catching her up on the situation, and she all but ordered us both to go to the hearing - telling us that she had no concerns at all about us either catching things up late in the day - or at the end of the project. Emily threw her arms around the woman and hugged her - which got her a tighter hug and a giggle.
• After our employer headed towards the house, Alissa said that she'd have no problem working by herself while Emily and I went to sit with her mother. We both hugged the blonde - and then the three of us got our asses to work.
